What was the saddest moment you have ever seen in your travels?

Going to concentration camps throughout Germany and the Czech Republic. One in Czech in particular had a bunch of drawings done by the kids who were forced into the concentration camps, which was really sad. And then it also had a room full of the names of those who had died while staying there.

We woke up early this morning and departed Bunratty so that we could get more time in Dublin. I slept on the bus the whole way to Kilkenny Castle.

Walking around Kilkenny Castle was nice, but honestly, after seeing at least seven other castles this trip, they were all becoming a blur. What I really loved about Kilkenny were the library and drawing rooms. I loved the library, firstly, because I love all old-styled libraries (think Beauty and the Beast, complete with sliding ladder) and any book that is leather-bound. The drawing room though had some really pretty paintings, some of them I believe being either 17th or 18th c. landscapes.

After that we got some free time in Dublin. It was just nice to relax. And I’m really excited that I’m finally getting to go home. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve loved, loved, loved the opportunity to stay in the UK and Ireland for as long as I have, but it really will be a nice change of pace to not be on a coach everyday and to come home and sleep in my own bed for once.
