SusanBrodersen's Travel Journals

What was your most challenging travel experience?

Being trapped underground on a train in Liverpool. Crying kids and drunk adults + flashing lights is not a good combination.

Today we went to the beautiful Bronte parsonage and the city of Haworth.  It rained most of the way up to the town and continued to rain until around 11 when we had our tour of the grounds.  Once the sun came out you could really see the quiet beauty of this place.  We walked up to the moors above the parsonage and were able to look out across the landscape that so influenced the works of Jane Eyre and Wuthering Heights.  Although we had sun for our walk it is easy to see what the moors would be like when raining.  We walked through the museum which had costumes on display from the upcoming Wuthering Heights movie.  We had lunch at a small cafe where we tried Yorkshire pudding for the first time and we loved it! Then we got back on the bus and headed home.
